featured; "Dubai: What's left of her land" SA&D Graduate Show, AUS, Sharjah, U.A.E

Artist Statement:

As a citizen I live in a fantasy-land, a desert known for artifice. An installed theater
of changing landscapes and a re invented skyline. A stage filled with performers
of skyscrapers, artificial cities, and islands shaped like the trees and the galaxy.
And beyond all the stage is built for imaginary viewers. I question what my land
is becoming. I question those dreams installed. I question what is left of this land.

Description:

An installation created on a wall as a 2D and 3D map of what's left of the land in Dubai, versus
the land that is been planned, constructed and taken apart by non existing figures.

Size: 3 meters x 2 meters
Components: installation on the wall
Materials: paper, plexiglas, corrugated board, balsa wood and greenery
Created: Spring 2008
